CBOT corn prices fell in the first session of the week on July 17 amid profit taking and expectations that the US would upgrade its crop condition ratings.

CBOT soybean prices rose on Monday because of uncertainty over production potential for the U.S. crop. The size of this year’s crop is largely unknown because it depends on the weather in August, analysts said.
